Job summary

BT Group is recruiting Software Developers in Test (SDETs) to help deliver technology that supports mission-critical services. You will combine software engineering and quality engineering to build tools, frameworks and automation that ensure quality from the start of the development lifecycle.

As an SDET, you will work with software engineers, architects and delivery teams to enable resilient, secure and reliable technology.

Qualifications

Experience developing software, automation, tooling or engineering solutions.
Understanding of software engineering principles and modern development practices.
Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.
Ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop resilient, maintainable and well-tested software that supports products and quality engineering capabilities.
Design, build and maintain tools, frameworks and services that improve automation and delivery confidence.
Participate in peer reviews and contribute to engineering standards, best practices and continuous improvement.
Design and implement automated approaches that validate functionality, performance, reliability and resilience.
