Job summary

WeDoTech is seeking an experienced SDET/Automation Tester for a remote-first 12-month contract in the UK. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, focusing on Playwright and Robot Framework across enterprise applications.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with developers, and ensure high quality in regulated environments. SC clearance is preferred; IR35 applies and active stakeholder engagement is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as an SDET, Automation Tester or Test Automation Engineer.
• Hands-on with Playwright and Robot Framework in enterprise environments.
• Experience automating web applications, APIs and end-to-end testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing principles, and working in regulated/defence/government contexts.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced SDET / Automation Tester to support a major programme within a complex and highly regulated environment. This is a remote-first role based in the UK on an initial 12-month contract with potential to extend, and it is inside IR35. We require active or lapsed SC clearance. The successful consultant will bring strong hands-on test automation experience, with particular expertise in Playwright and Robot Framework, helping us to build, maintain and improve automated testing capability across enterprise applications. You will work closely with development, engineering and wider testing teams to embed effective automation throughout the delivery lifecycle and ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard of quality.
