Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. offers Software Development Engineer internships in Cambridge. Interns work full-time in the office, Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours per week between 8am–5pm, and are matched to a manager and mentor to influence projects early in their career.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field at time of application.
• Knowledge of CS fundamentals such as OOP, OS, algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Break down complex problems into solvable components before implementation.
• Contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable services with distributed-systems scope.
• Participate in code reviews as a core engineering practice and provide constructive feedback.
