This role offers a competitive salary of £27,500 annually, with additional benefits including a Civil Service pension and opportunities for learning and development.
The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is a part of the Ministry of Defence responsible for the procurement, in-service support, and disposal of the UK's nuclear submarines. Our work is of unparalleled strategic importance nationally and internationally, ensuring the security of the UK's continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent (CASD), and delivering some of the most technically complex programmes in defence. At least one of four nuclear-armed submarines, supported by smaller attack submarines, is on patrol at all times: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
At the SDA, we strive to Support, Deliver and Aspire and put our values at the heart of our recruitment process. We believe that everyone should feel comfortable to be themselves and be supported to do their best work. As part of a diverse and inclusive workforce, our team will find a community to belong to. We believe that, by celebrating different backgrounds and different perspectives, together we'll achieve the extraordinary.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. We are recruiting for two separate positions within our Integrated Logistics (iLogs) Group, located at the Barrow site and the Abbey Wood site, as part of the Trident System Project Team (TSPT). Candidates will need to indicate their preferred location.
TSPT is a multi-disciplined team operating in the CSSE (Chief Strategic Systems Executive) Directorate comprising logistics, engineering, operational, Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) and programme subject matter experts, located at multiple Defence Nuclear Enterprise sites, such as Devonport, Barrow, and MOD Abbey Wood.
Fulfilling our role in the Polaris Sales Agreement (PSA), their purpose is the delivery of all facets of the Strategic Weapon Systems (SWS) and Strategic Weapon Support Systems (SWSS) in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defence (DOD).
