SD-WAN Project Manager – Inside IR35 – Pay £500 per day. Start 1st of November (essential) – six-month contract initially – travel to Stevenage (Hertfordshire) as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing an end-to-end Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) deployment and integration project.
- Working within the IT Governance framework, managing vendors and change requests.
- Creating and maintaining clear project and communication plans.
- Keeping schedules, risks, actions, issues and dependencies updated within the project tool, KeyedIn.
- Managing expectations around project delivery, and escalating concerns as early as possible to allow time for corrective action.
- Keeping stakeholders informed, including maintaining and sharing of weekly project highlight reports.
- Managing project budgets, tracking them responsibly and providing regular transparent updates.
- Collaborating closely with everyone involved to agree on, coordinate, schedule project activities effectively and traveling to sites as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience managing complex network and infrastructure projects, potentially across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, with specific experience of Fortinet SD-WAN.
- Provision of reporting and metrics which demonstrate effective governance and control which meet customer/business requirements.
- Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
- Risk/Issue Management and ensuring escalation processes in place and used effectively.
- Experience of financial accounting and reporting practices, such as costs and risks.
- Thorough understanding of the project management process throughout the lifecycle, and the ability to identify issues and take corrective action.
- Degree or equivalent, professional qualification advantageous (such as PRINCE2/AgilePM).
