Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey, providing motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the UK.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CDO Office as a Senior Data Quality & Controls Analyst. This role involves collaborating across teams to implement best practices for data quality management and control. Expertise in SAS is required to develop and maintain flexible Data Quality and Integrity solutions that support automation and controls across systems.
Please note this is a hybrid role with at least some days per week in the Redhill office. Remote work is not considered.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop the SAS framework independently from scratch.
- Implement data quality and integrity controls aligned with Santander data management policies.
- Maintain, monitor, and support existing SAS data quality controls.
- Design and implement controls within SCUK to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure controls are properly designed, tested, and implemented.
- Partner with the business to enhance Data Quality value across the company.
- Complete monthly data quality reporting.
- Contribute to the data quality strategy, establish metrics and standards, and report on control effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including Basel regulation BCBS.
- Lead ad hoc data quality and integrity projects and requests.
- Assist with the maintenance and review of models, policies, and procedures.
- Escalate risks related to risk policies and legislative guidelines per the risk framework.
- Commit to Consumer Duty standards, prioritizing customer needs and high standards of protection.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role creating, implementing, and monitoring data quality controls independently.
- Strong emotional intelligence, influencing, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with staff at all levels in a large organization.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and multitasking.
- Quick understanding of new business areas and systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Initiative, results-oriented, with good prioritization skills.
- CMDP qualification is desirable.
