Job Description:

Santander Consumer Finance (SCUK) is one of the UK’s leading motor finance companies, providing finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.

We are currently looking for a Securitisation Risk Analyst to join our Finance team. The role involves data production tasks using software such as SAS, VBA, Python, and Business Objects.

SCUK aims to diversify funding and capital sources through securitisation. To manage RWA (Risk Weighted Assets), SCUK is involved in issuing synthetic securitisation structures to de-risk credit portfolios.

This role supports business planning, execution, governance, and internal controls for SRT and Funding strategies, and assists with securitisation transactions for our JVs.

This is a hybrid role requiring at least days a week in our Redhill office. Remote work is not considered. Some occasional extended hours may be necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies to reduce reliance on EUCs, automating processes including regulatory templates to improve efficiency.
  • Preparing periodic submissions for Capital Reporting and supporting live transactions.
  • Contributing to model development and verification for internal committees.
  • Owning the Delegated Model of the SRT Monte Carlo Risk model, involved in its development and improvement.
  • Preparing marketing materials for transactions, rating agency due diligence, and investor meetings.
  • Automating the Credit Event Verification process.
  • Producing loan-level data and investor reports for SCUK’s JVs.
  • Gaining understanding of legal documentation in securitisation transactions.
  • Preparing invoices for securitisation transactions.
  • Participating in internal committees.
  • Ensuring compliance with Consumer Duty standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in SAS; C skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Accounting & Risk (IFRS/IRB) is beneficial.
  • Interest or knowledge of Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Securitisation Regulation.
  • Interest in financial markets.
  • CFA Level is desirable.
