Role: Scrum Master

Location: Leeds

Duration: Contract

IR 35 Status: Inside IR35

Domain: Media / Broadcasting / Telecom (Must Have)

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team.
• Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
• Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
• Understanding product planning in an empirical environment.
• Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to organize the Product Backlog to maximize value.
• Understanding and practicing agility.
• Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed.
• Assisting the product organization in refining user stories with all required information.
• Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
• Helping the Development Team create high-value products.
• Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress.
• Facilitating all team meetings, including Daily Stand-up, Grooming, Sprint Planning, Review/Demo, and Retrospective.
• Leading and coaching the organization in Scrum adoption.
• Planning Scrum implementations within the organization.
• Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development.
• Driving change to increase Scrum Team productivity.
• Collaborating with other Scrum Masters to enhance Scrum application effectiveness.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
• Significant experience in an IT/Software Development organization.
• Extensive experience with Agile development processes.
• Experience with release and milestone planning based on velocity.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM).
