We have exciting opportunities for two experienced delivery professionals to join Royal London as Scrum Masters (Agile Delivery Leads), supporting teams across our Long Standing Customer business. This isn't a traditional Scrum Master role. You'll combine agile leadership and coaching with genuine accountability for delivery, working with multidisciplinary teams across a varied portfolio of change. You'll have the opportunity to help establish and mobilise new squads, shape their ways of working and support them to deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers.
Our teams operate in a hybrid delivery environment, drawing on approaches including Scrum, Agile, Lean, and traditional project management. We're therefore looking for someone who is comfortable adapting their approach to the needs of the team and the work, rather than being tied to one methodology. You'll join at an exciting time of growth and change. The wider area is scaling significantly, with work spanning multiple large-scale programmes, digital propositions, system migrations, regulatory change and operational efficiencies.
About you
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate strong delivery experience and who is comfortable taking ownership from mobilisation through to successful outcomes.
You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Scrum Master before. We're interested in people with transferable experience from roles such as Agile Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, Product, Project Management or other leadership positions where you've been accountable for teams and delivery.
You'll be someone who:
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right delivery mindset. If you've built strong experience in an adjacent delivery role and believe your skills are transferable, we'd encourage you to apply.
What you'll be doing
Why Royal London?
This is an opportunity to join an evolving area where you won't simply inherit an established Scrum team and existing ways of working. You'll have the scope to shape how teams operate, build capability and take real ownership for delivery across a varied portfolio of change.
If you're an experienced delivery professional looking for a role where you can combine agile ways of working with hands-on delivery leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
If you feel you’d be a great fit for Royal London but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you. Research shows some candidates are less likely to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria - if you meet most requirements and are keen to learn, we encourage you to apply!
