Job summary

RTX is seeking a Scrum Master to protect and accelerate delivery in a rapidly evolving cyber landscape. You will enable fast, secure software delivery and empower teams to analyse and respond to emerging threats.

Qualifications

  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills for guiding teams through complex challenges.
  • Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) and strong Agile fundamentals.
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive consensus across stakeholders.
  • Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate key Scrum events and team health checks.
  • Promote and embed Agile principles within teams and the organisation.
  • Help teams embrace Agile practices and mature their delivery capabilities.
  • Support backlog prioritisation and work with Product Owner on goals and vision.
  • Coach the wider organisation in Agile adoption and continuous improvement.

Summary of role

As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in enabling fast, secure delivery and accelerating our ability to analyse and respond to emerging threats.


You’ll join a people-focused environment that values flexibility, empowerment, and creativity where teams are trusted to innovate, experiment, and continuously improve.


We are recruiting Scrum Masters to support our journey to provide maximum threat reduction across the globe. Working directly with our delivery teams, you will play a significant part in our vision.


You will also receive plenty of support, formal and on-the-job training, and ongoing professional development.


You’ll be supported with ongoing development to shape your career in the direction you choose.


Due to the interesting work we do and the sector we are working in, we require all candidates to currently hold eDV clearance.


Key responsibilities


  • Facilitate key Scrum events and regular team health checks

  • Promote, encourage and embed Agile principles within the team and organisation

  • Bring those more resistant to Agile ways of working along the journey towards true Agility and embrace their feedback

  • Ensure value-driven delivery, defining value within your team’s context and coaching them in how to break work down to achieve the most value

  • Proactively identify and remove impediments - thinking outside the box welcomed

  • Help teams to mature in their Agile practices

  • Empower the team to problem solve

  • Support negotiation and conflict resolution

  • Foster positive and collaborative relationships across teams and organisations

  • Support the Product Owner with backlog prioritisation, creation of product goals and vision.

  • Coaching advocate, supporting both Scrum teams and the wider organisation in adopting Agile practices.

  • Champion best practices and continually seek ways to improve the team, delivery and self.


Who are we looking for?


  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex challenges.

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)

  • Knowledge and demonstrable application of Agile fundamentals

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM)

  • Keenness to learn, collaborate, and share best practices across the business and customers through our active Communities of Practices.

  • Appreciation of latest technology trends and desire to explore software development models.

  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders and build relationships.

  • Passionate about embracing and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
