Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for a Scrum Master to join our Agile team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Scrum Master at Tesco, you will be a servant leader and agile champion, enabling one or more cross-functional teams to deliver value effectively and sustainably.

  • You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer-centricity while ensuring agile principles and practices are embedded and evolving.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a healthy and prioritised backlog, track and report on delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, Defect density) to support informed decision making.
  • Engage with our agile community to work with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to help scale agile practices across the organisation

We need you to have

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a technology or product delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.

And if you have any of these, even better

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I/II, SSM or equivalent.
  • Experience in large-scale agile environments (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence.
  • Background in retail, banking, or customer-facing digital products.
