Scribe: Sales and Marketing Assistant/Executive

Are you a highly organised, creative person, looking to build a career in publishing?

Independent publisher Scribe UK is seeking a Sales and Marketing Assistant or Executive to join our growing team based in Bloomsbury, with a list that includes prize-winning and bestselling authors.

You will have some experience in publishing or a similar industry already; either way, you will be enthusiastic about selling and marketing books, with skills in visual design and copywriting and an interest in using data and audience insights to drive successful campaigns. A degree is not essential, but experience in online sales and/or marketing is required.

At Scribe you will be working with the sales, marketing and publicity team to develop marketing assets, implement and manage marketing campaigns, and optimise the online sales listings for our books. You will also be working on developing our digital presence through our website, consumer newsletter and social media accounts.

You will need to have an interest in the genres we publish and some market knowledge, as well as being a passionate reader who is interested in digital culture and technology.

This is a full-time position paid at £25,000-£30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with a three-month probationary period, starting as soon as possible. This role is usually based in our office in Bloomsbury, but will be based from home until further notice because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Training and equipment will be provided.
