Overview

Exciting opportunity in lung cancer screening hub team at Wythen… Hospital. The post’s main competencies may be reviewed in light of the experience and developments within the service. Any review will be taken in conjunction with the post holder.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing advice; work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide Nurse led clinics.
  • Ability to provide health promotion and smoking cessation advice.
  • Formulation of individualized care pathways with the patient and the carer.
  • Work alongside the triage consultant in the hub.
  • Request diagnostic tests for the patients.
  • Be an advocate for the patients through their journey.
  • Outcoming the scan results and do the telephone calls to the patients.
  • Knowledge of the lone working policy.
  • Awareness of policies and procedures for MFT and community services in relation to working practices.
