Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Project Trainer to join the Power Transmission and Distribution Team covering projects in Scotland. The role involves delivering training programmes to Site Engineers, assessing trainees for compliance, and supporting staff development across the country.

The position can be based anywhere in Scotland with regular travel to sites. When not travelling, the role can be done remotely and a company car is provided with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Experience within construction/Power or utilities industry at supervisor/engineer level.
• Leadership and ability to manage work teams.
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Competent in MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assess all Project staff trainees to ensure they are compliant with current legislation and company standards.
• Work with Training team to evaluate effectiveness of training solutions and develop new materials.
• Develop training material and activities.
• Assess/manage and deliver project job role training and support.
• Train and deliver various training packages (setup to work with subcontractors, project fundamentals, etc.).
• Produce training programmes for project job role activity.
• Deliver training and assess end point assessment events.
• Travel throughout the UK assessing and delivering project role Training.
• Develop capabilities through continuing professional development.
