Role Overview:

The SME for Scope 2 contributes technical expertise to develop the Corporate Net-Zero Standard and related resources. The role involves leading work streams on Scope 2 and energy sourcing, integrating scientific research into standards.

Working with senior and cross-functional teams, the role ensures outputs are robust, aligned with best practices, and support organizational goals. It embodies values of respect, open communication, and integrity.

This role helps define credible corporate zero-carbon energy sourcing and integrates it into SBTi standards.

Ideal Candidate:

A dedicated, mission-driven individual with expertise in renewable and zero-carbon energy concepts and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise for SBTi's standards and guidance on Scope 2 and energy sourcing
• Collaborate on drafting, reviewing, and finalizing standards and resources
• Monitor trends, research, and policies relevant to the work
• Prepare and deliver presentations, webinars, and workshops
• Collaborate across departments to maximize impact
• Engage with external technical partners

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years in relevant fields like standard-setting, GHG accounting, and decarbonization, focusing on zero-carbon and renewable energy
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time
• Experience in research, data analysis, and synthesizing complex info
• Excellent communication skills, technical to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with relevant tools/software
• Expertise in market-based instruments for clean energy
• Strong project and team management skills
• Experience in multi-stakeholder processes
• Experience in standard-setting organizations and knowledge of ISEAL Codes (preferred)

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract in London, with potential extension. Candidates must be legally eligible to work; no visa sponsorship available.
