Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth, UK, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join Ground Control systems for Military Satellite Communications. The role focuses on delivering a Milsatcom Ground Control system and supporting IVV&T.

You will work on requirements analysis, BOM management, system architecting, and bid support, with hybrid onsite flexibility and opportunities for international mobility.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale system integration and end-to-end systems engineering.
• Ability to engage with customers and partners to gather and clarify requirements.
• Working understanding of satellite ground control systems and related interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis, traceability and verification.
• Manage BOM/Assembly Tree and configuration baselines.
• Support IVV&T activities including integration, testing and validation.
• Record Non-Conformances and Observations and track resolutions.
• Provide systems engineering input to planning, scheduling and cost activities.
• Define ground system architecture and support trade-offs.
• Contribute to technical proposals and bid efforts.

LOCATION: Portsmouth (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join Airbus Defence & Space working on Ground Control systems for Military Satellite Communications in Portsmouth, UK.

The Systems Engineer will provide support to the Delivery of a Milsatcom Ground Control system.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

• Requirements analysis, traceability and verification.
• Bill of Materials / Assembly Tree Management.
• Integration, Verification Validation and Test (IVV&T) support.
• Problem Definition, Non-Conformance and Observation recording and tracking.
• Systems Engineering inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activities.
• Ground System level architectural design definition and trade-offs.
• Technical proposal inputs and support to bidding teams

ABOUT YOU

• System of Systems or Large Scale Integration Experience
• Experience of engagement with customers and partners
• Working understanding of satellite control
