Job Description:

Primary Responsibility

The Vector Process & Analytical Development team focuses on developing Adaptimmune’s Lentiviral Vectormanufacturing process and the analytical assays for Lentiviral Vector characterization and release. The role supports these functions.

A Scientist will contribute by:

  • Planning and executing experiments
  • Interpreting results in collaboration with a Senior Scientist
  • Accurately recording experimental data
  • Maintaining cell cultures
  • Producing and purifying viral vectors
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment

Additionally, the Scientist may assist with support activities like Lab Steward roles.

Performance will be monitored through group performance and stakeholder feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting lab work to support group and company objectives
  • Planning, analyzing, and recording experimental results, maintaining databases
  • Participating in meetings and discussions
  • Routine lab maintenance

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Required

  • Undergraduate degree in Life Sciences or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant lab experience
  • Experience with assays for Viral Vector characterization or vector production/purification
  • Practical experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, ELISA, nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, flow cytometry, upstream/downstream bioprocessing

Desirable

  • Experience in a commercial/industrial lab environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for assay or process validation
