ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client is currently seeking a talented Scientist to join their Mass Spectrometry team within Characterisation and Material Sciences, based in the Berkshire area. This 12-month contract offers a unique chance to develop your skills and experience in the biopharmaceutical sector. As a Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting characterisation work packages and investigations, focusing on the detailed characterisation of proteins to elucidate their structure, function, and degradation pathways.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Perform analysis of protein therapeutics using mass spectrometric techniques.
  2. Utilise HPLC and electrophoresis as necessary.
  3. Maintain accurate records and contribute to the authorship of analytical aspects of regulatory submissions, technical procedures, protocols, and reports.
  4. Communicate technical analytical issues to senior analytical management.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
  2. Proven industry experience in mass spectrometry.
  3. A working knowledge and practical experience with protein chemistry.
