Accountabilities:
In this dynamic role, you'll work in a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) environment, utilizing cutting-edge science and technology for routine biomarker analysis. You'll interpret and communicate data as part of a matrix team, influencing clinical decisions on therapeutically relevant doses and schedules. Your work will deepen our understanding of cancer pathway interactions, guide rational drug combinations, and uncover novel resistance mechanisms by studying tumors at relapse.
Essential Skills/Experience:
BSc or Master’s in a relevant field
Experience in manual or automated immunohistochemistry (brightfield or fluorescence)
Experience in microtomy
Experience working to Good Clinical Practice
Experience working with human tissues and tissue-based histopathology methods
Knowledge or experience in one or more AZ portfolio areas: tumor drivers and resistance, DNA damage response (DDR), immuno-oncology (IO), and antibody drug conjugates (ADC)
Experience of tracking and/or managing human tissues using sample tracking software (e.g., BSI, SAPIO, Azenta etc.)
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Skilled in development and validation of biomarker assays
Experience with digital image analysis solutions (e.g., ImageJ, HALO, Visiopharm etc.)
Skills in developing multiplexed immunohistochemistry or in situ hybridization (ISH) assays
Career exposure to the pharmaceutical industry and the drug development process
