Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Scientist II (Scientific). This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential, located in Cambridge, MA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if interested.

Pay Range: $50 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and perform in-vivo pharmacology experiments supporting project goals, including study design, data collection, result communication, and report writing.
  • Summarize and present study data to project teams within established timelines.
  • Generate pharmacology reports to support IND submissions.
  • Apply established procedures and methodologies, transforming novel approaches into routine practice.
  • Utilize advanced tools and approaches to evaluate therapeutics' mechanisms of action and identify new targets.
  • Develop ex vivo analytical tools to maximize data from in vivo studies.
  • Contribute technically and troubleshoot experiments.
  • Support development of disease-relevant in vivo models.
  • Maintain meticulous records, adhere to all animal welfare guidelines, and work independently or in teams as needed.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Experience with respiratory diseases such as COPD, pneumonia, lung cancer.
  • Knowledge in pharmacology, preclinical studies, and immunology.
  • Hands-on experience with animal models (mice/rats), blood collection, tissue harvest, dosing, and immunological assays (flow cytometry, cytokine measurement).
  • Proficiency in establishing in vivo PK/PD and efficacy models of immunology/autoimmune diseases.
  • Extensive in vivo pharmacology expertise, including handling techniques and basic surgical skills.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision, present findings, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Master’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant research or Ph.D. in Immunology or Pharmacology with applicable experience.
