Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Essential Functions:
- Understands the application of the scientific method to experimental design and problem solving; applies knowledge and experience to solve a variety of laboratory problems; communicates results, problems, and progress to supervisor.
- Schedules own activities in accordance with assignments and priorities; detects problems in routine procedures caused by instrument difficulties, or in reagent preparation and/or handling; suggests modifications in protocols and/or methods.
- Understands general requirements and approach for completion of broad objectives. May be required to define intermediate objectives.
- Schedules specific tasks, performs tasks, analyzes data, provides input in the interpretation of data, collates results, prepares reports, and assesses progress relative to objectives.
- Maintains accurate, precise, and legible laboratory notebooks; writes reports and communicates progress periodically.
- Achieves broader professional judgment and experience through periodic training and continuing scientific literature review.
- Able to handle broad assignments and objectives involving multiple tasks; applies experimental design principles; recommends improvements in routine analytical methods.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge acquired through a Bachelor’s or Master’s DegreeExperience:
Bachelor’s plus 3 years of relevant experience orMaster’s plus 1 year of relevant experienceAdditional Skills/Knowledge:
