Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist 2 within the Molecular Biology team, focusing on Q-PCR pathogen detection testing and working on a rotating early and back shift pattern.

As a Q-PCR Molecular Biology Scientist, you will be responsible for the overall conduct of GMP and material studies. You will provide scientific support to internal and external clients regarding assays conducted within the laboratory. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining study records, including deviation records to meet regulatory standards.
  2. Responding to audit observations through BRIQS and proactively implementing improvements to enhance efficiencies and reduce waste.

Who you are:

  1. BSc or higher degree in Biological Science with relevant work experience.
  2. Prior experience in Molecular Biology techniques including, but not limited to, Q-PCR and Host Cell / Residual DNA.
  3. Previous experience working within quality-driven systems (GxP) is required.
  4. Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
  5. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with proven interpersonal skills to ensure satisfactory project execution.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and organize your workload to meet or exceed deadlines in a fast-paced, client-driven environment involving multiple projects and competing priorities.
  7. Ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team.
  8. Computer literacy and data entry into databases.
  9. Takes personal responsibility to deliver client service to a consistently high standard.
