Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking an experienced Scientist for a 12-month contract based in Slough, UK. You will support a global biopharmaceutical organisation focused on neurological and immunological diseases.

The role involves performing experiments to support non-clinical and clinical studies, assisting formulation activities, and presenting results to the team. A strong background in protein/antibody analysis and good numeracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with protein/antibody analyses and formulation development preferred.
• Strong numeracy and data evaluation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments and analyses to support non-clinical and clinical studies.
• Support formulation development and lab setup with technical resources.
• Author protocols and reports documenting degradation routes of antibody-derived molecules.
• Present results to the team.

Scientist – Slough, UK – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

We are looking for an experienced Scientist for a fantastic 12 month contract based in Slough.

You will be supporting our client who are a global biopharmaceutical organisation committed to improving the lives of people afflicted with neurological and immunological disease.

What You’ll Do

• Performing experiments/analyses and other enabling studies to support non-clinical and clinical studies
• Supporting pre-formulation and formulation laboratory activities which include laboratory set-up and provision of technical resources
• Authoring formulation protocols, reports and supporting documentation, based on a deep understanding of biochemical or physical degradation routes of antibody-derived molecules.
• Presentation of results

What you’ll need:

• Applicants should have a Masters (or equivalent) or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or similar, with a demonstrated minimum of 3y laboratory experience, knowledge and application of new and developing technologies
• Applicants should have a good experience in protein/antibody analysis (HPLC /UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, MFI) with experience in formulation development and/or automation seen as an advantage.
• High level of numeracy and the ability to critically evaluate data.
• Ability to work in a busy team environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
