Job summary

Proclinical Consulting is partnering with a globally recognised biopharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Scientist for their Injectable Formulation Development team on a 12-month contract basis. The role involves developing monoclonal antibodies and next-generation biologics, supporting programmes from early to late-stage clinical development.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years' relevant laboratory experience within an industrial or academic setting.
• Experience with protein and antibody analysis techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV Spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, Rheology, MFI or sub-visible particle analysis.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formulation and analytical studies to support biologics development programmes.

• Support pre-formulation and formulation development activities in the laboratory.
• Contribute to laboratory organisation, resource management, and technical support activities.
• Author protocols, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
• Interpret and present scientific data to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support the evaluation of biochemical and physical degradation pathways affecting biologic stability.
• Collaborate across multiple functional areas to support development milestones.

Proclinical is working alongside a globally recognised biopharmaceutical organisation dedicated to advancing innovative therapies for patients living with serious and chronic diseases. As part of continued investment within their development sciences function, they are seeking a Scientist to join their Injectable Formulation Development team on a 12-month contract basis.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of monoclonal antibody and next-generation biologic therapies, supporting programmes from early toxicology studies through to late-stage clinical development. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with cross-functional teams across CMC Development, Analytical Sciences, and Clinical Development to help deliver high-quality formulations for a diverse biologics pipeline.

As a Scientist within Injectable Formulation Development, you will undertake laboratory-based studies focused on protein and antibody characterisation, formulation development, and stability assessment. You'll play a key role in generating data that supports both non-clinical and clinical programmes whilst helping to advance formulation platforms for novel biologic modalities.

This position would suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment and enjoys combining hands-on laboratory work with scientific problem-solving and data interpretation.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Experience with protein and antibody analysis techniques such as: HPLC / UPLC, iCE, UV Spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE), Rheology, Microflow Imaging (MFI) or sub-visible particle analysis
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic team environment
