Our network of IVF fertility clinics including Cambridge, Colchester, King’s Lynn, Norwich, Peterborough and Wickford, cover the whole of the East of England, treating both private and NHS patients.

A fantastic permanent position has arisen, based at our Bourn clinic to join our small, dedicated team, during a growth phase for the organisation.

About The Opportunity

*As a Scientist, you will be responsible for:*

  • Analysis of patient samples within all laboratory disciplines as appropriate.
  • Planning and coordinating the duties of the laboratory to ensure optimum bioanalytical support for
  • Bourn Hall Clinic.
  • Document all training in the appropriate personal training file. Health and Safety rules must be understood and followed.
  • Perform assays and report results, ensuring that the conduct of all aspects of bioanalytical work is wholly compliant with International and local Quality Standards and that the results are reported promptly, according to user requirements.
  • Review and/or write Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate.
  • Work according to Bourn Hall Limited Quality Management System including the analysis of IQC and EQA specimens as required.
  • Participate in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure all laboratory instrumentation and equipment meets documented standards.
  • Ensure that stocks of kits, reagents and laboratory supplies are maintained and ordered in a timely fashion.
  • When required participate in validation/verification of new equipment/methods.
  • When required, participate in functional organisational meetings.
  • You will be required to have a strong background in administration and able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • You will have strong communication skills, an approachable attitude, and an eye for detail.
  • You will have excellent IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • You will be passionate and can drive business outcomes that not only meet but exceed expectations and elevate our patients experience, at every clinic.
