Location: Saffron Walden (CB11)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

Polytec are looking for a confident Technical Support Specialist for chemistry products for our Saffron Walden based client. You will offer pre and post sales technical support for company products.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical support via telephone, email and online chat
2. Pre-sales product selection and post sales enquiries
3. Diagnosing faults and offering application support
4. Liaising with end-users, distributors and our sales teams to understand custom requirements
5. Prepare and send quotations with full costings and technical detail
6. Follow up on quotes and monitor statistics
7. Collate, check, assemble and test all items pre-delivery
8. Testing prototypes - debugging, functional, and performance testing of products and producing reports to share with the team

Requirements:

1. Ideally have a minimum 5 years' experience in a technical support role
2. Degree in chemistry, physical sciences, biotechnology or a related scientific field
3. Hands-on laboratory skills
4. Experience in managing large caseloads, using ticketing systems and tracking KPI's
5. Able to use standard Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
