Job summary

Omnicom Health Medical Communications is seeking a Scientific Director to lead scientific strategy and client-facing research across multiple therapy areas. The role requires strong medical writing, client liaison, and senior oversight of multi-writer projects.

You will partner with senior leadership to guide accounts, ensure scientific excellence, and manage junior staff, with in-office requirements of three days per week in the UK.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant science subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience writing across medical communications media.
• Previous line management experience.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-writer projects and oversee scientific review.
• Provide scientific leadership and strategic direction for accounts.
• Ensure client-ready deliverables across projects.
• Maintain compliance with internal processes and best practices.
• Communicate updates on milestones to the team.
• Identify potential new business opportunities.
• Enter time and manage expenses.
• Support budget development with scientific input.
• Guide junior team members and provide feedback.
