Job description

South East England, Berkshire, Wokingham

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions in Science subjects
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans for students with SEN
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Minimum Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field
  • Demonstrated experience in tutoring or teaching Science subjects
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
Desired Skills
  • Strong understanding of Science curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students
Additional Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience using assistive technology in teaching
Working Conditions
  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in educational settings such as schools or learning centres
  • May involve travel to different locations within South East England

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
