Job Title: Science Tutor (EOTAS Support)

We are seeking qualified Science tutors to support students outside mainstream education. The ideal candidates will possess either a PGCE or PCET qualification and be able to teach Science up to GCSE level.

Role Overview: New Directions is looking for a Science teacher to provide 1-1 tuition for EOTAS students—pupils not currently attending mainstream schools or working towards re-entry. Some students may have Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including Autism and social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Experience in supporting students with ALN and pastoral care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver one-to-one tuition up to GCSE level.
2. Support students based at home or in Learning Centres.
3. Provide guidance and support tailored to individual needs.

Additional Details:

1. This is a hybrid role, primarily supportive, with some teaching responsibilities.
2. The position is for 3 days per week, with potential for increased hours or full-time supply work on non-teaching days.
3. Access to transport is essential for traveling to students' homes and Learning Centres.
