Job description

TP-Tutors is on the lookout for experienced Science Tutors in Bexley across all Key Stages. As a tutor, you’ll be designing and delivering catch-up programs for young learners in either 1:1 settings or small groups. We need specialists in core subjects as well as those who can cater to KS1 and KS2 pupils, so your expertise is welcome, whatever your background!

Responsibilities:

  • Designing lesson plans for each of your sessions
  • Monitoring attendance, sessions & lesson engagement through our digital platform
  • Communicating with TP Tutors & Parents/Carers effectively
  • Making Safeguarding a priority
  • Flexibility to offer remote and in-person tuition

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
  • Experience with primary or secondary-aged children
  • Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience
  • At least 2 years’ experience of tutoring 1:1 or groups of students
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to learn
  • Experience in 1:1 tuition
  • Skilled at managing challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
