Job description

TP Tutors are seeking dedicated and passionate Science Tutors to work with pupils outside the traditional school setting. You will provide one-on-one Science tuition in the home, local community, or school to help students improve their skills, gain confidence, and reach their academic goals.

Role:

Science Tutor

Salary:

£25 to £35 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver personalised Science lessons tailored to each student’s needs and learning styles.
2. Monitor student progress and provide feedback using our online reporting tool to support development.
3. Build supportive relationships with students, fostering a growth mindset and confidence in Science.
4. Assist with exam preparation, homework, and understanding scientific concepts.
5. Adapt teaching methods to suit different levels and learning preferences.

Tutor Requirements:

1. Strong knowledge of the Combined Science National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4.
2. Experience tutoring students outside of school or with additional needs is desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills and rapport-building abilities.
4. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent tutoring experience is preferred.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
