Job Title: Science & Technology Researchers, Engineers & Managers
Location: Bristol
Salary: Circa £55,000 (depending on experience)
Working: Hybrid – 3 to 4 days per week on-site

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development in emerging technologies including RF systems, lasers, and stealth technologies.
  • Design and evaluate systems using tools such as CST, Comsol, Matlab, and Spice.
  • Lead or contribute to technical project delivery, from concept through to validation and testing.
  • Work across disciplines on future systems, balancing experimentation and design innovation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop bespoke technical solutions for national defence applications.
  • Engage in modelling, simulation, and testing of complex electromagnetic and optical systems.

  • Experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Radio Frequency (RF), Pulsed Power, High Voltage, Directed Energy, Antenna Design.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Matlab.
  • Proficiency in circuit modelling (e.g. Spice) and electromagnetic modelling (e.g. CST or Comsol).
  • Experience or understanding of low observability and stealth design.
  • Systems design or engineering experience across RF, optical, or power systems.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments typical of early-stage concept development.

  • Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Willingness to undergo and/or currently hold DV security clearance.
  • Must be a sole British Citizen due to the nature of the work.
