Job Title: Science Technician

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and solutions for practical lessons.
• Ensure all experiments are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and consumables, ordering stock when required.
• Support teaching staff in the safe and effective delivery of practical activities.
• Assist with the maintenance and organisation of science laboratories and prep rooms.
• Provide technical guidance to students during practical sessions, when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and well-organised.
• Knowledgeable in laboratory procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible and proactive in supporting the needs of a busy science department.
• A background in science (A-level or equivalent).
• Practical laboratory skills.
