Science Technician – Term Time ( Plus 2 weeks)

The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Science Technician who will support the safe and effective operation of Science Laboratories including the maintenance, storage and availability of all items of equipment whilst ensuring that health and safety requirements are fully adhered to at all times.
What you need to succeed
You will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level or equivalent in a relevant science or hold a Registered Science Technician Qualification. Alternatively, candidates with relevant experience as a school Science Technician will be considered. Experience of working with school pupils up to Advanced Higher level would be beneficial. You must be able to demonstrate your knowledge of current health & safety legislation and provide guidance which is specific to modern scientific laboratory techniques.
As a self-starter, with excellent communication and organisational skills, you must have a flexible approach as there will be a requirement to work on a variety of projects at any given time.
