The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a large, culturally diverse college specialising in A Levels and Level 3 vocational qualifications. It is part of Summit Learning Trust.

We are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic Senior Technician, with a Physics specialism, to join this thriving Science department. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for coordinating technician support across our BTEC Applied Science courses.

The post holder will coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities within Physics and BTEC Applied Science to enable the fullest use for teaching and learning. As a senior technician, you will supervise the work of other technicians within the department and work closely with the Senior Science Technician who leads on the organisation of technical support across Science.

The post requires education to A level or equivalent in relevant science subject(s) together with GCSE Maths and English. You will have previous recent experience of working in a school or college laboratory environment.

Closing date for completed applications will be midday on Tuesday 6th May 2025. Interviews will take place on Monday 12th May 2025.
