Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 14 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Flexibility: The set working pattern for this post will be agreed between the successful candidate and the school. Any proposal of working hours will be considered, provided they are during (or have overlap with) the school hours of 8:30-15:30 (12:15 on Fridays).
Currie Community High School is situated to the south west of the City of Edinburgh and serves the communities of Currie, Riccarton, Juniper Green, and Baberton Mains. The school has a history of over 350 years and offers a range of community programs. We are seeking a part-time Science Technician to join our staff team, working alongside our full-time Science Technician in a busy and thriving science department. The successful candidate will demonstrate positivity, initiative, and flexibility, and will enjoy working proactively with colleagues to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.

This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
