The Role

As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department, ensuring that all practical lessons are well-prepared and run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organising equipment for science experiments and practical sessions
• Ensuring safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in line with health and safety regulations
• Keeping track of stock levels and ordering laboratory supplies when needed
• Cleaning and maintaining scientific apparatus to ensure a safe working environment
• Assisting teachers and students with practical experiments where necessary
• Maintaining accurate records of equipment, stock, and health & safety checks

Who We\'re Looking For

• Must have previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or educational setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and scientific equipment
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
