Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a part-time School Science Technician to support daily practical activities. You will work Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm (22.5 hours per week), assisting with prep room duties and safe handling of equipment across science lessons.

Key duties include supporting the Senior Science Technician, maintaining equipment, and enabling best practice in curriculum delivery. This is a permanent role with a competitive pay band and pension eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting science activities in a school or educational setting.
• Ability to maintain a prep room and ensure safety of equipment.
• Support for the curriculum through practical resources and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day organisation and development of science activities.
• Keep the Prep Room in good working order.
• Safely move practical equipment to and from rooms as needed.
• Assist with routine and non-routine equipment checks, maintenance and fault resolution.
• Provide support and advice to embed best practice in practical needs of the curriculum.

Salary: N6-N7 £26,847-£27,274 FTE (£14,277.28 - £14,504.36 Actual Salary) Contract: Mon- Fri 10:00 am -2.30 pm / 22.5 Hours a week / Permanent Closing date: 21/10/2026 Interview date: 03/11/2026

Key Responsibilities (further details in the attached application pack):

• Contribute to the day-to-day organisation and development of practical Science activities in line with agreed standards.
• Ensure that the Prep Room is kept in good working order.
• Ensure that practical equipment is safely taken to and from rooms as and when necessary.
• Working with the Senior Science technician to ensure that both routine and non-routine checking, maintenance, calibration, cleaning and fault investigation and resolution of equipment is carried out within the work area to the required standard.
• Utilise practical resources and facilities, providing assistance and advice to support 'best practice' in the practical needs of the curriculum, and ensuring this is embedded within the operational activity of the learning programme.
