Job description

• 36 hours per week, 36 weeks per year to cover term times
• Actual salary in the range of £21,398 - £22,023 per annum
  
  

We wish to appoint a full time, term time only Technician to work within the Science team of the Colleges successful Sixth Form which delivers GCSE, A Levels and vocational Science courses.

You would prepare practical equipment for science classes, assist and supervise students in the Science Laboratories, help with practical work and supervise students during class contact hours. You will also assist in the maintenance and distribution of the equipment, monitoring stock levels and supporting lecturers during demonstrations. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will assist in all Science areas.

You should be qualified to A Level or equivalent in a Science subject, or have substantial relevant experience and should have experience working in a science laboratory/workshop. You will also possess good organisational skills, an understanding of basic health and safety requirements and be able to communicate effectively with students and work as part of a team.
