Overview

Science Technician

NJC 5 - 6 £22,001.38 to £22,350.54 (actual salary). 36 hours per week, term time only plus 3 INSET days.

Working hours: 7.15am – 3.00pm.

Responsibilities
  • Support the science team to deliver engaging lessons by preparing resources for practical lessons.
  • Move and clean equipment used in practicals and ensure safe handling and storage.
  • Comply with safe working practices and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and experience
  • We welcome applications from candidates with a relevant science qualification at GCSE or above.
  • Previous experience of working in a school technician role or in a scientific environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices is desirable, and full training will be provided.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with staff and students is essential.
