We are seeking a Science Technician to join our dynamic and supportive Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in science and a practical, organised approach to support high-quality teaching and learning. Beginning October 2025.

Duties as Science Technician:

Prepare and set up equipment, materials, and chemicals for practical lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored safely after use.

Support teachers during practical lessons where appropriate.

Maintain accurate records of stock and place orders as required.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and carry out risk assessments.

Dispose of waste safely and manage chemical and biological substances appropriately.

Ideal Science Technician:

Experience working in a laboratory setting (school or industrial).

Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a science lab (CLEAPSS knowledge is desirable).

A science-related qualification (A-Level or higher preferred).

Good organisational and time management skills as a Science Technician.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A proactive attitude and willingness to support the department’s needs.
