Job summary

Teach360 is seeking a Science Technician for a September 2026 start at a vibrant Lewisham mainstream secondary school. The role runs on a long-term contract with a view to permanency from summer 2027, supporting science teachers and pupils with practical demonstrations and experiments.

The successful candidate will manage stock orders, prep chemicals and experiments, and ensure high health and safety standards during all practical activities in the lab.

Qualifications

• Prev. experience as Science Technician in a school setting.
• Confident in demonstrating practical experiments.
• Experience with stock orders and preparation of experiments.
• Ensures health and safety for students during practicals.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students with in-class experiments and demonstrations.
• Manage stock orders and replenish materials for the lab.
• Prepare chemicals and experiments under supervision and ensure health and safety.

Science Technician required to start from September 2026 working until the end of the academic year, with view to work permanently from summer 2027. As an experienced Science Technician, you must be confident in assisting the Teachers and students with in class support of practical demonstrations and experiments. As a passionate Science Technician, you will also be in charge of the stock order and replenishment, preparing Chemicals, preparing experiments lead by Science Teachers, ensure health and safety for students while conducting practical.
