Description

Are you organised, practical and enthusiastic about science? Cadbury College is looking for a motivated and reliable Science Technician to join our Science Department, helping to provide a safe, well-equipped and engaging learning environment for our students.

Working closely with science teachers and fellow technicians, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of practical science lessons across a range of courses, including A Levels, BTEC Level 3, GCSE Combined Science and the T Level Science: Health Pathway. From preparing experiments and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensuring high standards of health and safety, your work will help students develop their practical skills and confidence in science.

Health and safety will be a key part of your role, including the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals and biological materials, undertaking routine safety checks and following relevant procedures, including COSHH requirements and CLEAPSS guidance.

You'll also work with teaching staff to coordinate practical activities and make effective use of laboratory facilities, while providing technical support for College events, including open days, exhibitions and science demonstrations.
