Job summary

The Twyford CofE Academies Trust is seeking a Science Technician at William Perkin CE High School to provide technical and practical support to the Science Department and assist with maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.

This full-time, term-time-only position pays £29,985 per year for a 35-hour week. Interviews are likely the week commencing 5 October 2026; the successful candidate will be proactive, well-organised and committed to the Trust ethos.

Salary: Grade 5 – Term time only, 35hours a week.

A Science Technician is required to assist in the Science Department at William Perkin CE High School. The main purpose of the role is to support the Science teaching programme by providing technical and practical support to the department, and to assist with the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment.

Successful Candidates will be:

Proactive, approachable, calm and professional. S/he will have excellent communication skills and a high level of personal organisation. The post-holder will need to flexible in their approach to working hours and have commitment to the values and ethos of the Trust.
