Job Description

We are seeking a Science Technician to support our science team and help elevate our science faculty to outstanding standards. The ideal candidate may have experience in science teaching or laboratory work and should be willing to learn resource management for secondary education.

Overall Purpose of the Role

To support the Science department in maintaining laboratory resources and safety standards.

Key Duties

• Maintain science laboratories and prep rooms in compliance with health and safety regulations, including handling radioactive substances and organizing apparatus restocking.
• Prepare, maintain, and safely store apparatus for demonstrations and practical lessons.
• Maintain cultures and plants used in experiments.
• Prepare chemical solutions.
• Check and repair electrical equipment as needed.
• Provide and clean up practical resources for lessons, including setting up experimental apparatus prior to lessons.
