Job summary

Shropshire Bus Enhanced Partnership is seeking a full-time Science teacher to start January 2027 at our specialist SEMH school. The post is graded M1 – UPS1, with an 8.15am–4.15pm pattern Monday–Thursday and 8.15am–3.45pm Friday.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality science teaching to neurodivergent learners, using trauma-informed approaches and creative methods to engage pupils and raise outcomes for post-16 independence.

Working Pattern:8.15am – 4.15pm Monday – Thursday &8.15am – 3.45pm Friday

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Science teacher to join our specialist SEMH school, with the vision, passion and experience to enthuse all learners in the joy and mastery of the subject. We are seeking an outstanding teacher who can bring creative and innovative ways of working with and engaging our neurodivergent learners, understanding how to overcome barriers, promoting a love of the subject and having high aspirations for all pupils to excel.

This role is a truly unique opportunity to play an integral part in shaping the learning throughout the school, with creativity and ambition. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to develop our Science curriculum, ensuring all pupils achieve the very best outcomes in the subject, preparing them for independence and success for post-16 and adulthood.

The successful candidate will have a track record of high-quality teaching and an ability to adapt and support pupils to overcome barriers, enabling them to engage with and enjoy learning. They will also understand the importance of nurture and trauma-informed approaches to support the development of social, emotional and mental health needs and how to incorporate this into daily school life.
