The Role: Science Teacher (Key Stage 3 to A-Level)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified Science Teacher to join a dynamic Science department. This role offers the opportunity to teach across the full spectrum of secondary education, potentially specialising in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology at the senior level, depending on expertise.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Science (covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to students aged 11-18.
  • Create and manage a stimulating and safe laboratory environment that encourages practical investigation and scientific inquiry.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the departmental curriculum, schemes of work, and teaching resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular science-related activities, such as science clubs, competitions, and field trips.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance and well-being.
  • Uphold the school's high standards for student behaviour and academic integrity.
What We're Looking For
  • A relevant degree in a Science discipline (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related field).
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
