A well-respected and high-performing secondary school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join their thriving Science department on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2025 . The role includes teaching Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 .
For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to take on Head of Year responsibility.

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: Westminster, Central London
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR1c (for potential Head of Year responsibility)

  • The Role
    You will teach general Science across KS3 and KS4 , with the ability to teach your specialism at KS5 (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). You will inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students, delivering high-quality lessons in a well-equipped and academically ambitious department.
    There is also the potential for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to take on a Head of Year role, supporting the personal development, wellbeing, and progress of a specific year group.

    The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be confident teaching Science across all key stages , including KS5 in their specialism
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Be committed to academic excellence and inclusive education
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Show interest in pastoral leadership as a Head of Year (if applicable)
  • Be an enthusiastic and collaborative member of staff
