Overview

Applications are invited from inspiring Science teachers (Physics and Biology) to motivate and engage students working towards GCSE and A Level, as well as our younger pupils. The successful candidate would ideally be able to deliver Film Studies A Level or be willing to train to do so. The Science Department at Sherrardswood is a vibrant, collaborative, and high-achieving team, proud of its dynamic teaching and excellent results. Responsibilities

• Teaching Science (Physics and Biology) up to GCSE and A Level.
• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons in Science and Film Studies.
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
• Setting high expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring that the current requirements of examination boards are met.
• Contributing to after-school clubs and wider school life.

About You

• A relevant degree in Science (Physics or Biology).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• The ability to teach Science (Physics and Biology) to GCSE and A Level.
• Evidence of high pupil achievement and progress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring young people to explore and enjoy Science.
