Science Teacher Required - Outstanding Ofsted School in Sutton - January 2025 Start A high-achieving secondary school in the vibrant borough of Sutton, with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating, is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their successful Science department.

This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.

The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on the candidate's specialism and experience.

Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop a love of science and scientific inquiry.

Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, experimentation, and critical thinking.

Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.

Utilizing a variety of teaching resources, including laboratory equipment, ICT, and fieldwork opportunities, to enhance students' scientific understanding and practical skills.

Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's commitment to excellence in science education.

The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline).

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum, with knowledge of KS5 desirable.

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
